New CEOs at Academy Sports, Adidas, Asics, Gap, Kohl’s, Sportsman’s Warehouse, VF Corp., Vista Outdoor, and Wolverine Worldwide headlined the C-suite moves that transformed leadership across the active lifestyle space in 2023.

SGB Media also noted the proliferation of “Chief xxx Officer” appointments and title changes that appear to have replaced the SVP or EVP titles management once strived to achieve but also found the use of the titles for several expanded responsibilities for new roles in 2023 beyond the CEO, COO, CFO, and CMO titles.
