Manitobah, the indigenous footwear brand based in Winnipeg, hired Carolyn MacNaughton, who formerly worked for Nike and Under Armour, as CEO; Tom Hildrum stepped into the position of chief financial officer; and Mike Wodtke transitioned from chief digital officer to chief marketing officer.

MacNaughton spent nearly a decade working at Nike, most recently as director of merchandising operations for global footwear. After Nike, she worked at Under Armour as VP of footwear and accessories. “I’m thrilled to join the Manitobah team,” said MacNaughton. “I’ve always admired the brand’s dedication to preserving and celebrating Indigenous culture. I’m excited to collaborate with the team to further elevate the brand’s global presence.”

Hildrum previously worked at Roka as CFO for the last two years. Before Roka, he worked at Nike for nearly 15 years in various roles.

Wodtke, who joined Manitobah in July as chief digital officer, recently transitioned into the chief marketing officer role, and brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and e-commerce to the position. Wodtke’s expertise includes having worked for 13 years as VP of digital and retail operations at Blu Dot, along with roles at several consumer goods companies.

Founder and Chief Impact Officer of Manitobah, Sean McCormick, said, “The extensive experience and dedication to our brand’s Indigenous heritage make these new team members great additions to guide Manitobah forward. We look forward to the wealth of insights and expertise they bring to our brand as we continue our journey of growth and community engagement.”

Manitobah also expanded its marketing, brand and HR teams, hiring Brook Hopper as director of brand marketing, Kelly Krakalovich as customer acquisition and growth manager and Nikki Lace as human resources partner.
