Dick’s Sporting Goods agreed to pay $2.9 million in a settlement between the retailer and California retail workers over apparel costs and mandatory off-the-clock security checks according to a report from HR Dive.

Dick’s SG’s Q2 Profit And E-Commerce Sales Soar

Dick’s Sporting Goods reported earnings in the second quarter on an adjusted basis jumped 150 percent topping Wall Street targets as same-store sales grew 20.7 percent. E-commerce sales nearly tripled. Dick’s To Close For Two Weeks

Ed Stack, Dick’s Sporting Goods’ CEO, announced that the retailer will close its locations from March 19 until April 2 “in support of the nation’s efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19.” In a regulatory filing, Dick’s also said it has experienced a “significant reduction in customer traffic and demand” since March 10 and was withdrawing its guidance for the year.
