Norrøna released its Fall 2022 collection expanding on its lyngen, and lofoten collections for big mountain freeride ski touring and mountaineering in weather conditions.

“Skiers are pushing their limits further than ever before and requiring products with premium fabrics, quality, fit and functionality to meet their needs. In keeping with our design philosophy, loaded minimalism, the upcoming fall collection features both commercial and unique products that are optimized for protection, breathability, durability, versatility for whatever the mountains dish out,“ said U.S. sales manager, Adam Chamberlain. “With outdoor participation rates at an all-time high, we are excited to expand our product offerings across multiple collections, while simultaneously leading with a truly minimized environmental footprint for every style.”

Norrøna’s lyngen collection is engineered for functionality, breathability, weight, and flexibility for ski touring. The lyngen Gore-Tex Active Jacket for men, shown right, is its most breathable, lightweight weatherproof jacket developed for ski touring. The front and underarm are made with Gore-Tex Active Shakedry, a technology that eliminates the face fabric and prevents the absorption of water to maintain comfort during high-intensity activities. The hood, shoulders, upper arms, and bottom hems are constructed with 30D Gore-Tex Active recycled nylon fabric for breathability offering the i”deal balance of water protection and breathability.”

The lyngen Alpha100 Zip Hood for men and women, shown left, is its most breathable, insulated jacket. The face fabric is a double-weave recycled nylon aero100 fabric that’s durable and breathable. The jacket is lined with Polartec Alpha Insulation, engineered for consistent warmth, while continuously releasing excess body heat. The lyngen Gore-Tex Paclite Overpant for men and women is its lightest, most packable, and waterproof ski touring over pants. Made with Gore-Tex Paclite recycled fabric, the over pants are also suitable for general all-year mountaineering and hiking.

Designed for women, the lyngen Equaliser Stretch Tight, shown right, is a technical tight made for ski touring and cold weather alpine use. The main fabric is a brushed, quick-drying, recycled material suited for movement, breathability with moisture-wicking properties. Key features include a high waist, stretch pockets on the thighs and an adjustable gusseted bottom leg for walk and ski mode.

The lofoten Thermal Pro Hood for men and women completes the collection. The half-zip mid-layer, shown left, features Polartec Power Grid in the back, stomach, underarm, and hood for moisture management. The structured grid design reduces fabric weight while increasing warmth and compressibility.
