Stromer, the Swiss e-bike manufacturer, is launched its first online shop in the Netherlands for its Speed Pedelec e-bikes following a pilot project in the U.S.

The decision is based on the company offering customers an opportunity to shop online/pick it up from a specialist dealer and expand the brand’s reach with a click-and-collect model.

For a smooth online shopping experience, Stromer reported that it is working closely with its dealer network. Customers configure and order a Speed Pedelec bike and choose a Stromer dealer for the pickup and as a service point. Only accessories, such as bags, helmets, batteries, etc., are delivered directly to the customer’s address.

Co-CEO Tomi Viiala, on Stromer’s new online channel, said, “Digitalization and customer needs are constantly changing, which is why we are also adapting our sales channels. Our retail partners continue to play a key role in our business with this click-and-collect solution, and our online customers benefit from personal contact with the dealer. We expect that with the online shop on our website, our dealer partners will be able to win new customers.”

Over the year, Stromer will also go live with online shops in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, France, and Denmark.
