Product Line Manager Job Overview
As one of the Apparel Product Line Managers within Spyder’s Merchandising Department, you'll be an authority on the daily apparel product processes for specifically assigned products that may include Men’s, Women’s and Children’s garments. You'll identify trends and market opportunities to introduce compatible apparel concepts. You'll be involved in the design briefing and review, raw material/trim direction, and color palette selection for those assigned products with the goal to address trends, market needs and strategic initiatives. Will work closely with in-house Product Development staff to collaborate on design, fit, and functionality goals for each product. Responsibility to maintain seasonal timeline and meet deadlines for product schedules. You will present your products at in-house meetings and international sales meetings. This job is full-time, located in Spyder’s Boulder office.

Qualifications
Requirements for the PLM position include:

  • 3+ years relevant experience in Merchandising and apparel management-related roles.
  • Advanced merchandising skills and thorough understanding of the product process.
  • Consumer and market knowledge in areas of product/apparel that relate to Spyder’s product range.
  • High level of understanding of retail buying and/or sales.
  • Strong business orientation and analytical aptitude, computer skills on Mac platform, Adobe Illustrator a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex and or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
  • Willingness to create new ideas, generate consensus and work cooperatively.
  • Accountability to develop strong working relationships within Spyder and external resources.
  • Sound judgment and ability to provide information toward the determination of Merchandising and Company strategy.
  • Ability to travel for business domestically and internationally.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as workload may require.
