Roma, the Italian professional football club based in Rome, announced a “premature termination” of its partnership with Nike at the close of the 2019/20 season.
“The early termination of the commercial agreement will allow AS Roma to explore new opportunities in the equipment and licensing space,” Roma’s COO Francesco Calvo said in a statement on the club’s official website.
For the 2020/21 season, Roma and Nike have entered into a new agreement which will see Nike provide the club with all on-pitch, training and casual products for the first team, youth teams and women’s teams.
Nike replaced Kappa as Roma’s kit supplier beginning in the 2013/14 campaign as part of a 10-year deal.
