The Mast General Store has purchased the Lourie's Building on Main Street in downtown Columbia, SC. The potential store would mark its second location in South Carolina and its tenth location.
“The Lourie's building has a long history of retail service to the 1600 block of Main Street,” Mast General Store said in a statement. “We are excited by the momentum and revitalization efforts in the heart of Columbia, SC. While this project is still being studied to determine its feasibility as a location for the Mast Store, we are working diligently with others to develop a vibrant plan that will incorporate retail and residential occupancy that embodies the best this 100-year-old building has to offer.”
Mast General Store operates seven stores in North Carolina (two in Valle Crucis and one each in Boone, Waynesville, Hendersonville, Asheville and Blowing Rock. It has one store in South Carolina (Greenville) and one in Tennessee (Knoxville.)
