Kids in the Game, a fast-growing organization focusing on sports-based youth development, is officially a Certified B Corporation. The designation reinforces its mission to change kids’ lives through the power of sports.“At Kids in the Game, we see ourselves as a company that can — and will — be a part of the solution to build a better future,” said CEO of Kids in the Game, Matt Murphy. “Becoming a B Corp is something that reflects so much of the work we fight for every day — the belief that all stakeholders should be considered and valued, that transparency and sustainability build better companies and that the business community has a responsibility to be a driving force for good. We’re grateful that our work has been recognized by the B Lab and look forward to working closely with our fellow B Corps to continue our fight for a healthier, more inclusive future.”To obtain B Corp Certification, Kids in the Game participated in the B Impact Assessment process. The process evaluated everything from operations and business model impact on staff, community and environmental practices, to customers and employee benefits. The designation came after a two-year application and review process.

“We have been working on this initiative for over two years, and it has been a driving factor in making Kids in the Game not only a great organization for our kids but also a great place for our employees. Without the work that our coaches and team do day in and day out, we would not have been able to achieve this milestone,” said Tatum Boehnke, director of community and impact. “We are excited to join this network of inspiring organizations and continue to strive to make the planet a better place for all.”
