Esprit will open its global creative headquarters in New York City to support the company’s planned relaunch in 2023.

The fashion brand signed a lease with Hudson Square Properties for over 38,000 square feet of space spanning two floors in a building at 160 Varick Street in downtown Manhattan.

While Esprit’s creative headquarters are in New York City, its operational offices will remain in Hong Kong.

Esprit will renovate the industrial-style space with an open floor plan layout housing around 100-to-120 employees, including Esprit chief brand officer Ana Andjelic and senior vice president of design Tom Cawson.

Esprit CEO William Pak said, “Our intention is for the brand to resonate with a global audience. New York City is the world’s cultural epicenter, a diverse city full of incredible talent. From a creative and design perspective, the next evolution of Esprit, like New York, will be sleek, aspirational and timeless.”

The brand’s official relaunch will be positioned around “luxury apparel with an attainable price point” in mid-2023. Flagship stores are planned for New York and Los Angeles, and across the U.S. and Canada.
