Charles River Apparel began construction last week on its first retail store at its corporate office and warehouse in Sharon, MA. CEO Barry Lipsett told the Patriot Ledger that he hopes to have the 1,000 square-foot store open by Memorial Day.

“We want more exposure to consumers,” Lipsett said. “We thought by
opening a store right here on Route 1 near Gillette Stadium, that it
would be a great way for people to find out about us (and) to see the
quality and value in the construction of our products.”

The company said it expects to exceed $30 million in sales this year,
with about half of its revenue from corporate-related purchases. The
rest comes from gift shops and other resort-area retailers, college
bookstores, and sports teams.
