Nike, Inc. named Jared Carver as the new CEO of Converse. He succeeds Scott Uzzell, who transitioned last week to a new role as VP/GM of North America for Nike as part of the company’s recently announced leadership changes. Read more here from SGB.

Carver brings over a decade of leadership to his role as CEO of Converse. For the past four years, he has worked as the VP/GM for Converse’s North America business, where he delivered strong growth in the brand’s largest geography. Prior roles at Converse include VP/GM, Global Digital Direct; VP, Strategy; and director, Strategy and Business Development for Converse’s European Headquarters.

Carver reports to John Donahoe, president and CEO of Nike, Inc.

In its most recent third quarter ended February 28, Converse’s revenue advanced 12 percent on a currency-neutral basis to $612 million. The growth was largely driven by a strong performance in North America, which was up double-digits for the quarter.

Uzzell has been president and CEO of Converse since January 2019. He was formerly the president of the Venturing and Emerging Brands Unit for The Coca-Cola Company.
