Visant Corporation has acquired Rock Creek Athletics, a manufacturer and distributor of wool letter jackets with operations in Grinnell, Iowa. Terms were not disclosed.
Rock Creek's primary business and production operations will remain in Grinnell, and the company will continue to market and sell products through its existing independent sales channel. The Rock Creek management team will remain in place.
The acquisition was accomplished through a stock purchase and Rock Creek becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Visant Corporation. This transaction is complementary to Visant's Neff Motivation subsidiary and the recent brand expansion of its dealer division.
Rock Creek Athletics was started in 1996 by Don Estapa, Lance Dreesman
and Brian Dreesman.
