Bass Pro Provides Details On Cabela’s HQ Buyouts

Bass Pro said Thursday that 290 Cabela’s employees located in Sidney, NE will leave the company this week as part of a voluntary buyout program. Another 390 former Cabela’s employees also applied for buyouts, but no immediate action will be taken on those.

An 20-year-old from Oregon sued Dick’s Sporting Goods and Wal-mart for discrimination because both retailers moved to restrict gun sales to adults 21 and older in the wake of the Florida high school massacre, according to the Oregonian.

REI And MEC Suspend Shipments From Vista Outdoor

Both REI and Canada’s MEC (Mountain Equipment Co-op) late Thursday said they have suspended orders from Vista Outdoor due to the company’s manufacture of semi-automatic rifles. Vista Outdoor’s brands in the outdoor and cycling space include Bell, Blackburn, Bollé, Bushnell, CamelBak, Camp Chef, Giro and Jimmy Styks. CamelBak issued a statement on the changes.
