Northland Fishing Tackle announced that industry veteran Gregg Wollner was appointed its new chief executive officer. Wollner has already joined the company and will relocate his family to Bemidji, MN this summer.

Wollner has more than 25 years of fishing industry experience at Galyan’s Trading Company and Rapala. He has served as chairman of the American Sportsfishing Association, board member of the National Boating and Fishing Foundation and Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame selection committee. A lifelong resident of Minnesota, Wollner brings a strong passion and industry experience to his new role.

“We are certainly facing challenging times,” said Wollner. “I’m excited to join a leadership team that is so passionate and enthusiastic about fishing and understands the sport and the customer. Our experience along with a dedication to continued innovation in product offerings and commitment to excellent customer service are paramount to the Northland Fishing Tackle heritage and success going forward.”

Among Wollner’s goals are to bring innovative new products to the Northland brand, excel at customer service and be a positive steward for our industry and our sport.
