Under Armour Inc. has filed a lawsuit against Body Armor Nutrition LLC, a sports drink company based  in Beverly Hills for trademark infringement. UA accused the firm of  using a brand name and logo too similar to its own, according to a lawsuit filed in federal court in Baltimore.

UA is seeking an injunction banning Body Armor Nutrition from using the name Body Armor, a logo that resembles Under Armour's interlocking U and A, or the tagline 'Protect + Restore,' which Under Armour says is similar to its tagline, Protect This House.

“Under Armour has made a significant investment in fortifying all aspects of the Under Armour brand, including securing trademark protection for our UA logo, Protect this House, and the extensive family of Armour marks,” Under Armour spokeswoman Diane Pelkey said in a statement. “As a result, we are prepared to take all necessary actions to protect our intellectual property rights and the interests of our consumers and shareholders.”
