The North Face Launches “New Explorers” Campaign

The North Face launched a global campaign “to inspire the spirit of curiosity and enable a generation of new explorers through an expanded definition of exploration as a state of mind.” The campaign includes rapper/producer Pi’erre Bourne, snowboarder Jess Kimura, filmmaker Jimmy Chin and activist Mikhail Martin.

February Retail Sales Increase 4.4 Percent Over Last Year

February retail sales increased 0.3 percent seasonally adjusted over January and 4.4 percent year-over-year as the economy continued to grow, the National Retail Federation said. Sporting goods stores were down 3.4 percent year-over-year but up 2.2 percent from January seasonally adjusted.

Retail sales in November increased 0.9 percent over October on a seasonally adjusted basis and were up 6 percent year-over-year unadjusted, according to calculations released by the National Retail Federation.
