SRI Sports Ltd. has appointed Shigeru Furuichi as the new president and CEO of its subsidiary Srixon Sports USA.  Furuichi will be succeeding Richard Stamper.

Shigeru Furuichi comes into this new role after serving as managing director of Srixon Sports Europe where Srixon brand golf balls have quickly moved into the No. 2 market share position within the important United Kingdom market. Furuichi will be relocating to the Srixon Sports USA Atlanta office in January.

Richard Stamper will be stepping down from the positions of President and COO, which he has held for the past 6 years. “Rich has grown the Srixon brand in the North American market at a tremendous pace during his tenure and we thank him for his contributions,” stated Takao Mizuno, Director of SRI Sports Ltd., and Chairman of Srixon Sports USA.

SRI Sports Ltd., after announcing the pending acquisition of Cleveland Golf, is moving aggressively to accelerate even further the market share position of Srixon in the very important North American market.  “Moving both the Srixon brand and the Cleveland brand aggressively forward is one of our top priorities worldwide,” cited Mizuno.
