Shoe Carnival, Inc. reported sales for the four-week period ended November 27, 2004 increased 4.2% to $45.2 million from sales of $43.4 million for the four-week period ended November 29, 2003. Comparable store sales decreased 1.7% in November 2004.
Sales for the first ten months of 2004 increased 5.2 percent to $491.5 million from sales of $467.1 million for the first ten months of 2003. Comparable store sales decreased by 1.5 percent for the 43-week period.
The Company also announced the opening of three stores during the month, one each in Lakewood, CO; Stuart, FL and Appleton, WI. Additionally, one store was closed during the month.
