Schutt Reconditioning announced it will sponsor Lauren’s First and Goal, a charitable football camp for high school athletes.

Lauren’s First and Goal is a non-profit organization that was created by John and Marianne Loose to honor their daughter Lauren, a 14-year-old brain tumor survivor. The camps are run entirely by volunteers and made possible by donations. So far, Lauren’s First and Goal has been able to raise over $1 million dollars in support of brain tumor research, financial and emotional support for affected families, and for increasing awareness of the disease.

“Lauren’s First and Goal is an organization that is close to our hearts and we are proud to partner with the local camp,” said Craig Scott, national director of sales at Schutt Reconditioning. “Not only do these camps promote an incredible cause, they also shape young athletes by allowing experienced college coaches from all over the country to share their knowledge and expertise. It is truly an inspiring operation.”

Representatives from Schutt Reconditioning will attend the camp at Lafayette College, Sunday, June 5, and have helmets and other Schutt items on display and for sale.

Schutt Reconditioning is a division of Schutt Sports, the maker of football helmets.
