What’s UP Public Relations, located in Denver, CO, and founded in Bozeman, MT, in 1997, specializing in international and national brands entering the U.S. markets in Snow, Outdoor, and Fitness, is pleased to announce that Sarah Laughlin has joined the What’s UP PR team. Sarah will join as a new business specialist and account executive effective immediately.

Laughlin comes to What’s UP PR with experience in public-policy public relations and as a small business owner. After graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in corporate communications, Laughlin pursued an in-house marketing career in Washington, DC.  Her 10 years of experience spans digital media, advertising, content marketing, and media relations. She holds an MBA from the University of Denver and is also the founder of an e-commerce ski apparel company. Her diverse experience in both media and business allows her to build impactful public relations campaigns with an eye toward generating revenue for our clients. In 2017, Sarah returned to her hometown of Denver, where she loves to hike with her dog “Buff,” play tennis, cook for friends, and ski.

Peake has 20 years in the business of putting brands front-and-center with celebrity placements. Her work routinely doubles revenues overnight with brand exposure and demand. “We are elated to forge this new direction for our clients,” says Cochran.

Rounding Out The What’s UP PR Team

Chip Smith with Soar Communications, continues as a market advisor and PR strategist. New York-based Kim Rapkins focuses on content editing. After graduating from Columbia University, Rapkins earned her master’s degree in journalism. She has worked as a content writer and digital media strategist in the fashion, performing arts, and outdoor industries for nearly a decade.  Siobhan Stock Lyon, a recent graduate of  Denver University, remains on the team as a support account executive based in New York. Stock-Lyon brings energy, creativity, and event experience to the team. She is a former Denver Theater Company ballerina, traveler, yogi, and outdoor enthusiast.

Having worked for major accounts including Bausch and Lomb, I SKI eyewear, K2 packs, Marker Bindings, and National Geographic, founder Beth Cochran launched her hybrid business model in 1997.
