Nocs Provisions, maker of outdoor binoculars and monoculars, introduces its Pro Issue Waterproof Binoculars, the latest in its growing line.

Available in 8×42 and 10×42 models and offering a wide field of vision, the Pro Issue Waterproof binoculars convey the build and feel of Nocs’ original Standard Issue binoculars yet are built around optics that cost up to 2-to-3 times more.

The value is the result of a ground-up design in partnership with Nocs’ manufacturer to leverage knowledge and streamline efficiencies. By considering the manufacturing process and target specification, the brand eliminated redundancy and delivered optics, with the lens grouping, focusing system and exterior housing working together to produce a cohesive optical system with all components working in harmony.

“The Pro Issue is a direct result of customers asking for a larger format version of our original binoculars, and our goal was to ensure that the new model offers extremely high-quality optics while maintaining the durability, ruggedness and grip that our customers love,” said Nocs Founder and CEO, Chris McKleroy. “From lifeguards coast-to-coast and the forest service in between, the Pro Issue was developed to meet professional needs for optics in the field, resulting in a supreme set for birding or wildlife viewing, dawn, dusk, or under the moon, no matter the time of day.”

The wide field of view (429 feet at 1000 yards for the 8x model) resolves to the edges of the field. The Pro Issues uses phase-coated BaK4 roof prisms with a fully multi-coated eight-piece lens assembly, resulting in a bright, wide, color-correct image with high contrast and minimal chromatic aberration.

Housed in a medical-grade casing, the Pro Issue is waterproof (IPx7) and fog proof (O-ring sealed with nitrogen), with multi-stop twist-up eyecups and a central focusing system.

“At Nocs, we make high-quality, long-lasting tools that help humans connect with their natural environment,” added McKleroy. “We started with a compact binocular product and, as we grew, we learned that our core customer base desired more from our brand. We’re super stoked to put the Pro Issue out there with no-hold-barred quality optics ready for any situation.”

All Nocs products ship in plastic-free packaging using post-consumer recycled cardboard and soy ink printing. The company is a member of 1% for the Planet and offsets all carbon emissions of its supply chain via Climate Neutral.
