PacSun’s Comps Slide 3% in May

Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. reported sales decreased 2% in May to $86.9 million from $88.5 million. Comps were down 3%.

Total PacSun sales for the first 17 weeks of fiscal 2008 were $353.7 million versus total PacSun sales of $356.4 million during the same period last year. PacSun same store sales decreased 2% during the same period.

As of May 31, Pacific Sunwear operated 818 PacSun stores and 122 PacSun Outlet stores.
