K-Swiss has added American Sam Querrey to its men's tennis roster effective January 1, 2010. The 24th-ranked athlete is currently the second-highest ranked American behind Andy Roddick.

Under the multi-year deal, Querrey will represent K-Swiss footwear and apparel, as well as contributing to the collaborative design process for the brand's future performance product.

Querrey, who grew up in Thousand Oaks, California, next to K-Swiss' hometown of Westlake Village, is currently the youngest-ranked American player in the top 50. He holds two ATP titles, most recently clinching the LA Tennis Open title in August 2009. Querrey will join American Mardy Fish on the K-Swiss roster.

“Sam is going to be a big part of our brand, nationally and internationally,” said K-Swiss Sports Marketing Director, Erik Vervloet. “Not only is he a terrific kid with a huge game, but he also embodies the spirit of K-Swiss' California sports heritage. We look forward to having Sam with K-Swiss for the remainder of his career.”

“I've always wanted to be with a brand that I could feel like part of the family,” said Sam Querrey. “K-Swiss is truly interested in making the best products for me and involving me in the process. I'm looking forward to working with them and developing the best tennis brand in the world. Besides, I grew up a mile from their headquarters, so I feel like I'm at home with them.”
