Balega, a leading performance sock brand in the run specialty market, shared plans to realign its sales territories and add to its sales team to better serve its brick-and-mortar specialty retailers.

As many brands in the specialty space are scaling down their sales and tech rep teams, Implus believes that adding sales resources will help it better serve customers.

“We believe that we need to work harder to help our brick-and-mortar doors to prosper, and, to achieve that, we will be building out our sales team to spend more time in stores and at events,” said Bert Pictor, senior vice president at Implus Specialty.

Implus currently has 16 Territory Managers, and will be building on that already strong platform over coming months.

“We believe that we have to be present to win, for our brands and for our customers. We have built a unique value proposition with the brands we own,” said Pictor. “Customers seeking to place orders for Balega, Trigger Point, Spenco, Sof Sol, FuelBelt and Yaktrax, can do so on a single order and receive what they have ordered in a single shipment. We are trying to make life easier for our retail partners, allowing them to focus on servicing the end consumer.”

Balega will be showcasing its 2018 product collection at The Running Event in Austin, Texas November 28 – December 1.

With a proud American-South African initiative, Balega develops its products in both South Africa and North Carolina production facilities utilizing the best performance yarns produced in the United States.
