Eastland Shoe, Corp., known for its hand-crafted leather footwear, appointed Marc Gold as director of business development. Gold comes to Eastland with over 25 years in the footwear industry having driven sales growth in top-level executive positions at Vans, The Frye Boot Co., Skechers and Vida Group International.

“Mark is well respected in the footwear industry and brings a proven record of dynamic sales development,” said Jim Klein, Eastland's president. “Marc's primary responsibility will be to focus on the sales of our Eastland Men's Collections. The resurgence of Eastland's signature heritage styles and the success of our 55th anniversary Made in Maine USA collection have positioned Eastland for rapid growth both domestically and internationally.”

In his new role, Gold will be responsible for expanding distribution of Eastland's Men's brands. Working closely with Steve Maier, recently promoted to Eastland's National Sales Manager, and the entire Eastland sales group, Gold will also be responsible for major accounts in New York City and New England regions.
