Columbia River Knife and Tool has appointed Jeff Lunz as the company’s new CFO.
A seasoned professional, Lunz worked with Gerber Legendary Blades for the past 14 years in accounting, planning, inventory and various director roles before ascending to VP of finance. Along the way, Jeff gained experience across business operations that will afford him a unique perspective in helping to set and achieve company objectives at CRKT.
“Jeff is a proven talent with a keen understanding of business operations and global experience in developing and implementing strategic financial plans,” said CRKT President Mark Schreiber. “He’s an enthusiastic problem solver with an incredible breadth of experience and we look forward to his leadership as we continue to grow and develop the CRKT brand.”
“CRKT is widely recognized as the industry leader in innovation and I’m thrilled to be joining such a talented and passionate group,” said Lunz. “The collaborative approach to product design and business planning here at CRKT is exactly the type of environment I can thrive in and I’m looking forward to bringing the full scope of my experience to help grow the brand.”
Lunz has been a CPA for the past 16 years and is an alumnus of Portland State University. He will report directly to President Mark Schreiber.
In conjunction with Lunz joining the team, Peggy Bremer, one of CRKT’s owners and co-founders who has served as CFO for the past 15 years, will transition to a strategic support and advisory role where she will work with Chairman Rod Bremer to pursue other opportunities for CRKT.
