Converse announced the creation of a long-term, strategic partnership with professional basketball star Dwyane Wade to create footwear, apparel, and equipment for America’s first basketball brand. “Dwyane has proven to be an important partner in re-establishing Converse basketball,” said Jack Boys, Converse CEO. “We are confident this will be a mutually successful relationship with Dwyane.”

Converse enlisted Wade at the beginning of his professional career as his style of play and the values he shares with the brand made him an ideal partner. Wade will continue to be actively involved in the design and development of every product using his name including footwear, apparel, accessories and equipment.

The first offering of this partnership – the WADE signature shoe – will hit stores November 3.
