ProTech inked a distribution partnership with Paceline Products, Inc., a cycling distributor whose products focus on improving riding comfort and performance.

This is ProTech’s first distributor in the cycling market. Melody Appleton, founder and president of ProTech says, “Our partnership with Paceline validates ProTech as a truly specialty product, and further establishes our position in cycling. We look forward to working with a well respected distributor like Paceline to help us reach our cycling fans where they shop.”

“As with all the products we distribute, the first thing we look for is exceptional quality, and the ProTech line is all about quality,” says Steve Mathews, Paceline’s founder and president. “Our bicycle retailer customers have asked for re-sealable, small, carry along packets of sunscreen, and the ProTech Daypack is perfect for this need.”

Paceline will carry the Moisturizer Sunscreen SPF 30+ in 3 oz. tubes and the smaller 2-4 use Daypacks, as well as the Hybrid Moisturizing Lip Balm SPF 17.

This distribution partnership helps ProTech take full advantage of its sponsored athletes. In addition to professional cyclist Levi Leipheimer, ProTech recently welcomed Monique Sawicki as its latest athlete. Sawicki is the 2005 NORBA (National Off Road Bicycle Association) Nationals Marathon champion, her second championship in a row, after only two years racing on the NORBA pro circuit.

“ProTech is complete skin care for athletes,” says Sawicki. “I’m in the sun everyday and whether I’m on my bike training or not, I’ve always got ProTech on. All I have to say is this stuff works. It goes on easily, leaves no smell and protects my face from all the environmental elements.”

“ProTech works well for cyclists because it is a true hybrid” continues Appleton. “Our moisturizers are specifically engineered to withstand extreme environments and protect during extended sun exposure.”
