Bass Pro Agrees To Acquire Cabela’s

Bass Pro Shops has agreed to acquire Cabela’s Incorporated (CAB) for approximately $5.5 billion in a deal that calls for Cabela’s to sell its wholly owned bank but live on as its own brand. Bass Pro Shops Founder and CEO Johnny Morris would retain his role and be majority owner of the combined and privately held company.

Garmin Acquires Japanese Distributor 

Iiyonet Inc., now a subsidiary of Garmin Japan Ltd., will retain substantially all of its management and continue operations at its current facilities located near Tokyo.

Vail Resorts Names New Retail Chief
