FA Design, a snowboard outerwear company, opened its U.S. headquarters in Saratoga Springs, NY. Prime Group Holdings, led by President Robert Moser, made a significant capital investment to fuel this expansion.
FA Design was founded in 2009 with the goal of expanding the technical horizon for snowboard outerwear. Created by Frederick Ansara, a former Canadian pro snowboarder, FA Design uses performance materials in combination with advanced production methods. Its current line is for men; however, the brand plans to introduce a women’s line and will expand its lifestyle apparel and snowsport offerings.
“We are extremely proud of our Canadian heritage and our roots in the snowboard community,” said Frederick Ansara, FA Design founder and chief design officer. “As we launch our brand in the U.S., we will continue to manufacture all of our products in Canada. We recognize that the U.S. provides an important opportunity for our brand to grow and to reach new consumers.”

The U.S. headquarters will be co-located with Prime Group Holdings. Moser and his team will temporarily oversee the U.S. office. In the fourth quarter, FA Design will hire a general manager for U.S. operations and a designer for the women’s line, in addition to naming appropriate rep agencies in key U.S. regions.
Prime Group Holdings LLC is a private investment firm located in Saratoga Springs, NY. The firm specializes in real estate and has investments across a variety of sectors including the medical device industry, the energy sector and consumer apparel.
