Descente Mountain Americas in a letter to dealers indicated it will not take orders for 2020/21, and Descente Ltd will be pursuing a distributor format for the future in North America.

Hydro Flask, an award-winning leader in high-performance, insulated stainless steel flasks and soft good innovations and a Helen of Troy Limited company, promoted Alan Kissell to the newly created role of Hydro Flask vice president of sales, North America.

Thule appointed Jonas Lindqvist as chief financial officer and member of Group Management in Thule Group, based out of the Group Headquarters in Malmö, Sweden.

Brad Crandell was named Chief Human Resources Officer. Mark Kowalski was named Vista Outdoor’s Controller and Chief Accounting Officer. Dylan Ramsey was named vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Kelly Reisdorf was named vice president, chief communications and investor relations officer. Crandell, Kowalski, Ramsey and Reisdorf all previously served in senior roles at Vista Outdoor.

Bass Pro Shops confirmed that nearly 120 jobs at its Cabela’s operation in Sidney, NE are being relocated to Bass Pro’s headquarters in Springfield, MO, according to the Associated Press.

Camping World Inc. posted a steep loss in the third quarter due to its decision to strategically shift away from locations where the company does not have the ability or where it is not feasible to sell and/or service RVs. The company said it will close 28 of the 37 remaining Gander Outdoors doors that have not been converted into RV dealerships, as well as two of the seven outdoor lifestyle locations operated by TheHouse.com
