Governor Brian P. Kemp announced that Norma Precision Ammunition, a subsidiary of the leading European ammunition manufacturer RUAG Ammotec, has established its U.S. headquarters, manufacturing site, and warehousing and distribution operations in Chatham County.

Hibbett Expands, Amends Credit Line

According to a regulatory filing, Hibbett, Inc. modified its unsecured credit agreement with Regions Bank that expires July 9, 2026, to expand the limit to $125 million from $100 million. All covenants remain unchanged.

Firearms Industry Economic Impact Rises 269 Percent Since 2008

The total economic impact of the firearm and ammunition industry in the United States increased from $19.1 billion in 2008 to $70.52 billion in 2021, a 269 percent increase, while the total number of full-time equivalent jobs rose from approximately 166,000 to over 375,819, a 126 percent increase in that period, according to a report released by the NSSF.

Camp To Open In Los Angeles

Camp, which describes itself as “Part toy store, part activity destination, and all good vibes,” is opening its first flagship store in Los Angeles. The Century City location will be Camp’s ninth store.

KKR Formalizes Offer For Accell Group

In a joint press release, Accell Group, the parent of Raleigh, Ghost, Haibike, and other bike brands, and a private consortium headed by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) recommended shareholders accept the all-cash offering for its shares for 1.56 billion euros ($1.76 billion).

Progression Brands Group Names VP

Progression Brands Group (PBG) announced that Jeff Burkley had accepted the newly created position of vice president.  Burkley will be responsible for developing and leading commercial strategies across the company’s multi-brand portfolio, including Capranea Apparel, DAHU Ski Boots, Movement Skis, YNIQ Eyewear, and Crazy Apparel.

NPD And IRI To Merge

The NPD Group (NPD) and Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) announced the signing of a definitive agreement to merge the two companies. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2022.

Merrell Launches Takeback And Resale Program

Merrell is launching a multinational product takeback and resale program called Merrell ReTread. The program, which launches in April in the US and Canada in a partnership with ReCircled, allows consumers to give back Merrell footwear.
