Brunswick Boat Group has named Tim Schiek as president of Boston Whaler and Brunswick Commercial Government Products, effective immediately. Schiek, a 15-year Brunswick veteran, will report to Andy Graves, president – Brunswick Boat Group.

Schiek most recently was president of BBG's fiberglass fish boat businesses, specifically the Triton and Trophy brands, having assumed that role in 2008.

Prior to that, Schiek led BBG's pontoon category businesses, which included the Harris FloteBote, Cypress Cay, Suncruiser and Crestliner brands in that category. Prior to those assignments, Schiek had led the Boat Group's strategy function, and was a driving force behind the implementation of Brunswick's High Performance Product Development Process. Schiek began his career with Mercury Marine, which like the Brunswick Boat Group, is a unit of Brunswick Corporation.

Schiek succeeds John Ward, who will assume the new position and responsibilities of senior vice president, global sales & marketing for Brunswick's Hatteras and CABO brands, based in New Bern, N.C.

“We are pleased to name such a capable leader as Tim to this important leadership role,” Graves said. “Boston Whaler is one of the leading and best known and respected brands in the global marine marketplace thanks to John and his staff. A proud tradition has been passed to capable hands. We wish to thank John for his past leadership and many contributions to Boston Whaler.”
