Bass Pro Shops confirmed that nearly 120 jobs at its Cabela’s operation in Sidney, NE are being relocated to Bass Pro’s headquarters in Springfield, MO, according to the Associated Press.
Bass Pro spokesperson Jack Wlezien said the relocation is “consistent with the company’s long-term commitment to efficiently provide the highest level of service.”
Those choosing not to relocate will be offered severance and outplacement assistance. It’s unclear how many Bass Pro jobs remain in Sydney. Cabela’s once employed around 2,000 in Sidney. The purchase by Bass Pro was completed in September 2017.
