Arc'teryx Equipment Inc. promoted John Irvine to director of international sales. Irvine has been behind the company's sports marketing efforts since 2003 and leaves his post as global sports marketing Manager.

In his new role, Irvine will be responsible for the development and management of all sales activities for all Arc'teryx products in Asia-Pacific, further using his skills to identify key business partners that will successfully sell Arc'teryx products worldwide.

Irvine worked as a hardgoods buyer for Mountain Equipment Co-op prior to his experience with Arc'teryx and brings with him a strong technical and sales background with multi-seasonal and multi-disciplinary products.  An excellent skier, climber, cyclist and waterman, Irvine has extensive hands-on product knowledge as well as exceptional organizational skills.

“Not only is John talented in the sports and activities we represent, he has a comprehensive understanding of our business and the marketplace,” said Gary Bryant, VP of Sales for Arc'teryx. “His professionalism and work ethic is a great compliment to our mission here at Arc'teryx.”
