The Buckle, Inc. announced that sales for April increased 8.7% to $29.7 million from sales of $27.3 million in the corresponding four-week period ended May 1, 2004.

Comparable store sales, for stores open at least one year, for the four-week period ended April 30, 2005 increased 4.0% from comparable store sales for the prior year four-week period ended May 1, 2004.

Net sales year-to-date, for the thirteen weeks ended April 30, 2005 increased 11.3% to $105.5 million from $94.7 million for the corresponding thirteen weeks in the prior year. Comparable store sales year-to-date were up 6.4% from sales in the same thirteen-week period of the previous year.

Beginning with the four-week period ended May 1, 2004, the Company changed its method of reporting comparable store sales to exclude Internet sales.
