Darn Tough Vermont, a manufacturer of outdoor and lifestyle socks, welcomed its newest team member, Peter Kennedy, as its senior sales and demand analyst. The creation of this new role will enable Darn Tough to build upon its customer service by balancing anticipated consumer demand with knitting production and manufacturing.
“The timing of Peter’s hire, along with the deep experience and knowledge he’s bringing to this newly created role, puts Darn Tough in a strong position to continue delivering as a reliable partner for our partner retailers and our consumers alike. His similar roles, while working with great brands like Ben & Jerry’s, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters and, most recently, Seventh Generation, make him ideally suited for this one as Darn Tough continues to spread our domestic and global footprint,” said Mark Yardley, vice president of sales at Darn Tough.
In his new role, Kennedy will work with the internal team at Darn Tough, the brand’s outside sales agencies and its supply chain to support and strengthen the brand’s forecasting process and inform the supply chain to appropriately plan for demand. In addition, Kennedy will guide the Darn Tough team by continually refining the company’s systems and methods.
