Walls Outdoor Goods has partnered with DuPont Kevlar to develop a new line of outdoor workwear.

“Our goal with this line was to create workwear that could withstand the toughest abuse, but still be functional and comfortable,” says Walls Brands director of marketing, Alan Burks.  “Kevlar, which is five times stronger than common steel on an equal weight basis, was the ideal partner for us to work with.”

DuPont Kevlar, first developed in 1965 by DuPont and celebrating its 50th anniversary, is used in a variety of clothing, accessories and equipment to add strength and durability while remaining lightweight and flexible. Known for its application in ballistic body armor, Kevlar fibers can be included in fabrics to help increase cut and abrasion resistance. Today, Kevlar is commonly used in high-performance sporting equipment, tires, fire fighter and industrial protective clothing, mining belts, and commercial aircraft, among other applications.

The outdoor workwear collection made with Kevlar uses a combination of 10-ounce brushed duck cotton with Kevlar fiber for unmatched durability. The line includes three styles of jackets, a vest and a bib, all featuring Walls Dry IQ water repellent DWR finish, Realtree AP printed double needle diamond-quilt lining, and six ounces of insulation. The jackets feature Walls signature Muscle Back design for limitless range of motion. Prices in the collection range from $90 MSRP to $160 MSRP.

“The science behind DuPont Kevlar, coupled with its strength and durability, allows our customers and licensees to innovate and Dare Bigger in their product design,” said Kathy Kowalski, Global Brand, Marketing and Communications Leader, DuPont Protection Technologies.

In addition to the workwear line made with Kevlar, Walls launches the Vintage, Modern Work and Storm Protector collections. Each line brings innovation to the workwear category with unique styles that draw upon the Walls heritage while exhibiting new designs.
