Employees working at REI’s Berkeley, CA store have asked the outdoor retailer to recognize their intent to form a union, according to Berkleyside.org; this comes after employees working at REI’s Manhattan store in March voted to create the first union at the co-op.

Infinited Fiber Company Plans $420 Million Factory

Finnish recycled fiber company Infinited Fiber plans to build its first commercial-scale Infinna fiber factory at Stora Enso’s Veitsiluoto industrial site in Kemi, Finland’s northernmost region of Lapland. The size of the planned investment is around €400 million ($420 mm).
