Vista Outdoor Names Executive Officers
Brad Crandell was named Chief Human Resources Officer. Mark Kowalski was named Vista Outdoor’s Controller and Chief Accounting Officer. Dylan Ramsey was named vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Kelly Reisdorf was named vice president, chief communications and investor relations officer. Crandell, Kowalski, Ramsey and Reisdorf all previously served in senior roles at Vista Outdoor.

Dorel Sports’ Q3 Revenues Expands 14 Percent
Dorel Industries Inc. reported third quarter revenue at Dorel Sports increased 14.2 percent, to $250.3 million. The gains were driven by revenue growth across all three divisions, driven by strong performances at the Cycling Sports Group (CSG).

Bass Pro Shops confirmed that nearly 120 jobs at its Cabela’s operation in Sidney, NE are being relocated to Bass Pro’s headquarters in Springfield, MO, according to the Associated Press.
Camping World Posts Q3 Loss After Store-Closing Charges
Camping World Inc. posted a steep loss in the third quarter due to its decision to strategically shift away from locations where the company does not have the ability or where it is not feasible to sell and/or service RVs. Backcountry.com Apologizes For Trademark Protection Push
Following social media uproar over news the online retailer has been suing small business owners over the use of the word “backcountry,” Backcountry.com CEO Jonathan Nielsen wrote in an open letter that the retailer’s attempts to protect its brand “were not consistent with our values.”
