Under Armour said Suzanne Karkus, its SVP of apparel and an executive, plans to resign to pursue other interests. According to a filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission, her resignation will be effective Feb. 16, 2010. Matt Mirchin, SVP of sales for North America, will serve as interim head of its North America wholesale apparel division while a search for a successor commences.

The filing noted that the company will pay Karkus her salary for six months pursuant to the terms of her previously disclosed Employee Confidentiality, Non-Competition and Non-Solicitation Agreement dated Jan. 8, 2008. The company has also agreed to pay Karkus $120,000 primarily to cover her transition and other expenses.

Karkus joined UA in November 2007 as SVP of apparel. She had been with  IZOD Womenswear where, as president, she launched the brand in 2003 and established it as a premium lifestyle collection. Prior to IZOD, Karkus served as president of the women's division of Calvin Klein Jeans.
