Under Armour, Inc. announced Donna Hopkins, Erin Stone, and Erin Taylor as the winners of its fifth annual “Power in Pink” She’s A Fighter Survivor Search, an annual online campaign that seeks out survivors and women living with breast cancer to submit their empowering stories of utilizing fitness and exercise in the fight against breast cancer. These three women will share their stories of inspiration on a national scale as the faces of Under Armour’s “Power in Pink” brand campaign. Under Armour will also donate $5,000 to each of the three Survivors’ breast cancer organizations of choice.

Beginning in September, Hopkins, Stone, and Taylor’s messages of strength and survival will be featured at http://www.underarmour.com/powerinpink and integrated into the “Power In Pink” Facebook Fan Page at http://www.facebook.com/powerinpink. Visitors to these sites will be able to read and watch personal videos of each winner’s story of overcoming the challenge of a lifetime with the support of family, friends, and an active lifestyle.

“These three women are the ultimate competitors – they faced breast cancer head on and not only survived, but thrived as beacons of inspiration to their communities and to all of us at Under Armour,” said Adrienne Lofton Shaw, Senior Director, Women's Marketing, Under Armour. “We are proud to partner with these extraordinary women and it is our hope that their work with the ‘Power in Pink’ program and their moving stories will inspire women nationwide to stay physically active and to fight back against this devastating disease.”

In 2003, Under Armour created the “Power in Pink” campaign to help educate women about the important role physical activity can play in helping to overcome breast cancer. Throughout the months of September and October, while supplies last, consumers will be able to purchase limited-edition, pink ribbon-imprinted tops, bottoms, accessories and footwear for women and apparel for men at Under Armour specialty stores, online and at select retail locations nationwide. For every “Power in Pink” item purchased in-store and online, Under Armour will donate ten percent of the proceeds to a number of organizations dedicated to research and the fight against breast cancer.

Donna Hopkins, Maryland
A basketball and track scholar and a lifelong athlete, Hopkins relied on her competitive nature and routine gym workouts to help her win her fight against cancer not once, but twice. Hopkins was 36 and had just completed her annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Two years later, the disease re-appeared. Inspired by her love of sports and her battles with breast cancer, she started the Hopkins Breast Cancer Inc. foundation in 2000, which hosts an annual golf and basketball tournament to help provide financial aid to disadvantaged breast cancer patients.

Erin Stone, California
Erin Stone was in the final stretch of completing a Bachelor of Science and becoming a Registered Nurse when she was diagnosed with an invasive, aggressive form of breast cancer at age 40. Determined to finish school and fulfill her life-long dream of helping others, Stone relied on the support of her family and the stability of her regular runs to lift her through four weeks of strenuous classes, exams and medical procedures, ultimately leading to her graduation. A year after her diagnosis, Stone is working as an RN and has run in several breast cancer fund raising events and continues to exercise regularly.

Erin Taylor, Maryland
At the age of 25, Erin Taylor’s courage and strength were put to the test when she was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer and underwent several surgeries, chemotherapy and daily radiation therapy. Determined not to let the disease define her, Taylor joined spin and Zumba classes at her local gym and took her first Polar Bear Plunge in January the following year. After ACL replacement surgery and weeks of physical therapy to correct a previous injury, Taylor has gotten back into playing golf and a regular gym routine. Her goal is to run the Susan G. Komen 5K in October as a one-year survivor.
