As noted by the National Shooting Sports Foundations, Fortune Magazine has named two companies in the firearms and ammunition industry to its annual list of the 100 fastest growing companies.
For 2010, Olin Corp., which manufactures Winchester ammunition, is listed at #40 while gun-maker Sturm, Ruger & Co. is listed at #67.
Regarding Winchester, Fortune wrote “Winchester ammunition maker has found sales to police and the military to be its silver bullet in 2010.”
About Ruger, Fortune wrote “With a backlog of 181,000 unshipped units last year, gun manufacturer fired up production for a second year in a row.”
