The North Face hired Sophie Bambuck as chief marketing officer and Jennifer Ingraffea as chief product and merchandising officer.

Bambuck is a twenty-year veteran of global and integrated marketing strategy. She was chief marketing officer, Everlane (2021 to 2022), global brand marketing officer, Nike Sportswear (2019 to 2021); chief marketing officer, Converse (2018 to 2019); senior marketing director, Nike Sportswear, Western Europe; and brand director, running, Nike Sportswear, North America.

Bambuck said in a statement, “The North Face is one of those rare brands that has legitimate presence both in performance and with broader culture, and I am looking forward to putting my skill set and experience to work alongside their impressive team to ensure we continue to invite more people into the world of exploration, whether for outdoor activities or as part of their everyday life. At my core I am consumer-obsessed and believe our work starts and ends with our audience. By harnessing the deep and authentic connection The North Face already has with its consumers, the sky is the limit for this brand.”

Ingraffea brings more than two decades of experience driving new business and developing functions across retail, merchandising and general management. She was, most recently, global VP product merchandising, Kids Footwear, Nike. She worked at Nike for ten years. Other roles at Nike included VP, North America, merchandising and VP, global merchandising, Athletic Training. She has also worked for multiple other leading consumer brands including Williams-Sonoma and GAP.

“The North Face has a long history of launching first-of-its kind, innovative performance products that have led to incredible explorations across the Globe, and the brand’s current growth reflects this. I am excited to bring my experience and passion to the brand to accelerate this momentum together, all while inspiring a new generation of explorers and future explorations,” said Ingraffea.

The hires of Bambuck and Ingraffea follow Nicole Otto’s hire as president in June. She worked at Nike for 16 years, most recently as VP, Nike Direct North America from 2018 to 2021.
