Team STX, the first elite post-collegiate women’s lacrosse team, has begun recruiting for its second season and has re-signed 15 players from its inaugural season, according to STX, LLC.

The impressive Team STX roster will include Maggie Tamasitis, Brittany Brigandi, Kitty Cullen, Alyssa Kildare, Cacki Helmer, Mary Flowers, Lillie Lingo, Sam Farrell, Demmianne Cook, Clayton Crum, Lauren Schmidt, Julie Gardner, Lauren Benner, Dana Cahill, and team captain Josie Owen.

As a part of their renewed contracts, the team members will continue to play on Team STX and promote women’s lacrosse products for the growing brand. In 2014, Team STX will compete in the Lake Placid Classic and Vail Lacrosse Shootout and will expand its youth skills clinics nationwide.

“This past year was an amazing experience,” said Josie Owen, Team STX Captain.  “As a member of Team STX, we had the opportunity to play with and compete against the best players in the country. We are really excited to expand our roles to coaching youth clinics and helping shape the next generation of lacrosse players.”

In its inaugural season, Team STX took home gold at the Vail Shootout Elite Championship and in the Ocean City Lacrosse Classic during the Women’s Elite final. Several team athletes were also featured in STX marketing materials such as the 4SightForm video.

“Team STX dominated summer lacrosse tournaments last year and we’re gearing up to do the same this year,” said Kadie Stamper, Women’s Lacrosse Category Brand Manager. “We are thrilled that so many players are coming back this year and we are positive that the new recruits, coming from the top colleges and universities around the county, will strengthen the team even further.”

STX will be recruiting new members to join the team this spring by invitation. To learn more about Team STX athletes, please visit http://stx.com/teamstx2014.
