Stanwood & Partners PR has resigned PR representation of the Outdoor Retailer, Action Sports Retailer, Interbike and Health & Fitness trade shows. Two weeks ago, Stanwood & Partners was retained by Snowsports Industries America (SIA), to represent the SIA show.

S&P managed the VNU PR for seven years and 33 separate shows:

  • thirteen ORs
  • nine ASRs
  • five Interbikes
  • three Fly Fishing Retailers
  • three Health & Fitness Shows

“We’ve had a great run with VNU,” said Carson Stanwood, S&P’s founder. “There’s been a little bit of everything, including a tornado. I’m pleased that we’re leaving all four shows in a very strong PR position, certainly a lot better than when we took them over.”

To aid VNU in the transition, S&P will handle PR duties for next month’s OR and Health & Fitness Show and this October’s Interbike show.

“As a firm, we’ll still definitely be attending the VNU shows,” said Stanwood. “We’ll have eighteen clients exhibiting at this summer’s OR, plus the show itself, so we won’t exactly be coasting.”
