Stabil, a leading U.S. manufacturer of traction footwear, and the National Park Foundation (NPF) have formed a four-year partnership.
Stabil has committed to donating 5 percent of sales from both national park vendors and web sales on the Stabil national park program page to the National Park Foundation. Additionally, for purchases made on their website, Stabil offers an opt-in donation to the NPF.
“We are thrilled to be working alongside the National Park Foundation. We want to support national parks and there’s no partner better than NPF,” said John Milburn, Stabil president. “Stabil is a Maine-based company, home to Acadia, Katahdin Woods and Waters, over 3,400 miles of tidal shoreline, 4,600 islands and 281 miles of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail; we have a keen awareness of the importance of access to the beauty that surrounds us. This partnership allows us to spread that ethos across the country for the next four years.”
The National Park Foundation, which celebrates 50 years this December of being the official nonprofit partner to the National Park Service, was established by Congress to enrich and support America’s national parks and programs.
