Spinlister, the global bike rental platform, launched their Bike Shop Partner Program as an addition to the site’s peer-to-peer service after a beta rollout this summer.

“We believe that Spinlister can play an integral role in creating new revenue streams for bike shops,” said CEO Marcelo Loureiro. “Not only can our platform power online and in-store rentals, but it can also help shops sell more new bikes through our exclusive rent-to-buy demo program.”

Through the new initiative, bike shops will have the opportunity to access the platform’s worldwide community of renters, giving them an opportunity to generate revenue from unsold inventory. Setup, customization, iPad kiosks, and 365-day tech support are free, and all bikes rented through Spinlister are covered by liability insurance and a $10,000 guarantee.

“Spinlister just makes things less cumbersome for us,” said owners Justin Shannon and Kristie Holt of Local Hub in Dallas. “The process makes it easy for customers to check out our bikes online, or use the in-store kiosk. We don’t have to mess with forms and paperwork. It’s definitely modernized the way we rent bikes, and allowed us to tap into cyclists that don’t live in Dallas.”
