Shimano American Corp. (SAC) has taken over distribution for Lazer Sport’s helmets and eye wear in the United States and Canada, effective immediately.

Shimano’s European subsidiary acquired Lazer Sport NV August 31. Founded in 1919 and based in Antwerp, Belgium, Lazer Sport manufactures and markets its bicycle helmets, as well as sport and leisure eye wear, in more than 50 countries and over 5 continents.

We look forward to building our sales and service network for retailers in the U.S. and Canada in the future.”

SAC will be responsible for sales of the Lazer brand in the United States along with authorized distributor QBP. In Canada, Live To Play will remain as an authorized distributor.

SAC hired industry veteran Peter Kukula as the North American Brand Director and Christopher Smith as the North American Marketing Manager.
